Eco Green Gene is the lifelong work of Green Gene- a professional nature lover, ecological gardener, writer, and educator based in Laguna Beach.

Since the 1970s, Gene has helped people reshape their landscapes to support food, wildlife, and human use- often with less maintenance, not more. His approach favors pruning over shearing, meadows over lawns, composting over waste, and listening to nature instead of forcing it into straight lines.

This site exists to inspire, educate, and support healthier relationships with the land- whether through consulting, writing, teaching, or quiet stewardship.
